ANTALYA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (ACCI)HISTORY
ACCI is the fourth earliest founded Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Turkey.
ACCI was formed under the name of “Commission of Agriculture and Commerce” on
April 23rd, 1886. The commissions of Agriculture and Commerce separated from
each other on March 31st, 1910.
Following the foundation of Turkish Republic chambers of commerce and industry
gained a considerable importance in the development of Turkish Economy.
ANTALYA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (ACCI)TODAY
At present, ACCI has 27.213 active members with a budget of 13.100.000 TL. ACCI
has 6 agencies in the districts of Antalya that are in Serik, Kemer, Korkuteli,
Elmalı, Gazipaşa, Akseki.
The total members of ACCI are being registered;
84,7 % in Antalya
6,7 % in Kemer
4,7 % in Serik
3,9 % in other districts.
ANTALYA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (ACCI) ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE

The organs of the chamber are elected in a democratic platform and with a multi
staged election system.
There are 53 profession groups in ACCI. The profession groups elect “the
profession committees” that are composed of 5, 7, 9, 11 members. Profession
committee elections are made every four years.
The authoritative branch “Chamber Assembly” is formed by the electives from the
profession committees who are elected every 4 years.
At present, the assembly consists of 131 representatives of the profession
committees.
The chamber assembly elects the “executive board” which is the executive
authority of the chamber. The executive board is composed of 11 members and is
elected for a period of 4 years.
In addition, there are various sectoral councils and specialisation commission
elected by the chamber assembly.
ACCI IN NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL PLATFORMS
ACCI is giving service as;
· Executive Board Member of the Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and
Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB)
· Representative of Economic Development Foundation (İKV).
· Member of the Executive Committee of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK)
· Member of the General Assembly of Turkish Accreditation Council
· Member of the General Assembly of International Chamber of Commerce Turkey
National Committee
· Member of Association of Mediterranean Chamber of Commerce and Industry
(ASCAME), Presidency of Industry, Energy and Mines Commission
ACCI is making all kinds of efforts to increase the number of international
fairs and congresses in Antalya.
EU Relay Office of ACCI was formed by the co-operation of the Turkish Agency of
EC and ACCI and started to render service with official ceremony held in March
19th, 1998.
The “West Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry Co-operation Platform”
(BAGEV) was formed in 2000 by ACCI, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of
Burdur, Isparta, Alanya, Manavgat, Bucak, Yalvaç, Dinar and Commodity Exchange
of Antalya, Burdur and Isparta.
